Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Minimum 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.
  • Some weekend and night work required depending on job requirements.
  • Hearing sufficient for being aware of back-up alarms, hearing equipment and for normal conversations.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds, walk, climb, stand, bend and stoop for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and adhere to applicable safety policies.
  • Must be able to complete work tasks under various weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees.
  • Acceptable level of correctable vision for Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral and Depth Perception.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, steel toe boots, seat belt, gloves, etc.
  • Use of both arms and legs required.

This position performs a wide variety of tasks to insure equipment is loaded and ready for the next day's use. Also maintains the shop and yard parking areas keeping them clean and organized. Helps to maintain equipment fleet and shop.

Duties, Skills, and Responsibilities:

All employees are required to work safely and report any injury immediately

Fill propane tanks on infrared trucks

Load Sealcoat, transfer from storage tank to trucks

Load crack fill and sand onto trucks

Fill water tanks on trucks, trailers, and rollers

Must be able to move and back medium duty trucks with small equipment trailers attached

Must have basic understanding of mechanical equipment

Wash, steam clean, detail, trucks and equipment

Keep storage yards clean and organized.

Clean, organize, maintain storage area in shop.

Operate forklift and skidsteer loader to receive deliveries and move inventory.

Other duties as required

Requirements:

One plus years of relevant experience

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and managers

Ability to operate light to medium duty trucks (CDL License preferred, or ability to acquire)

Ability to keep accurate records of materials loaded.

Ability to produce quality work

Ability to work 2nd shift. Some weekend work may be required

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be able to provide legal right to work in the U.S. as BBAC participates in E-Verify

Must be able to pass a drug test

Possess a valid driver's license required

Bilingual is a plus

Pre-employment drug screen and background

Physical Abilities:

Ability to lift 50 (+ -) pounds on a regular basis

Ability to twist, turn and bend continuously

Ability to push, pull and carry objects

Ability to shovel using hands, arms and back to complete task

Ability to carry small to large tools in and around jobsite

Ability to stand and kneel for long periods of time (about 90% of the time walking, standing, or kneeling)

Ability to perform small detailed tasks

Work environment:

Exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles such as dust, dirt, fumes, etc.

Ability to work in an external environment and under many weather conditions such as frigid cold, and exposure to vibration and/or loud noise

Employer will provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed, but will be the responsibility of the employee to dress appropriately for the weather conditions

Salary and Benefits:

Hourly wage based on experience
