The Purchasing Administrator has the overall responsibility for coordinating and executing job costs, purchase order management, and several other supportive processes. Will be working closely with the Project Management team as well as Sales Executives, Division Managers, and the Director of Construction. Attention to detail and accuracy is important, but must also be able to adapt to continuous changes and ability to communicate those changes to the management team.

Duties, Responsibility and Physical Requirements:

  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Understand business and industry technology
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to work with senior management, sales, accounting, payroll and field personnel
  • Receive and enter labor hours, equipment hours, purchase order quantities, and subcontractor quantities and cost into Solomon database
  • Ensure field data accuracy
  • Generate daily job cost reporting for management review
  • Generate weekly project forecast reporting for PM Team to complete
  • Provide data deficiency feedback to Production Managers
  • Track equipment utilization based on field data

Experience and Requirements:

  • Must have at least two years of related construction experience
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of computer systems including Microsoft Office and sales software - Excel heavy
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to provide legal right to work in the U.S. as BBAC participates in E-Verify
